Wellesley, Massachusetts

Wellesley is another small affluent city just outside of Boston.  Wellesley is situated in Norfolk County and is bordered by Natick to the west, Weston to the north, Newton to the east and Needham and Dover to the South.  According to the latest census estimates, Wellesley had a population of 26,702 residents.

The majority of residents in Wellesley hold at least one college degree, so many that it ranked second in Forbes' America's Most Educated Small Schools ranking.  Wellesley has also made it into Boston Magazine's annual "Best Places to Live" ranking.

Wellesley is characterized by its historic district, which still has many homes that were built in the 1860s.  These old buildings have been protected by the Wellesley Historic Commission.

Schools in Wellesley dedicate even more funds per-pupil than Hudson.  The average per-pupil expenditure in Wellesley schools is an impressive $9,250.  With such emphasis on education it is easy to see why so many residents here have college degrees.
