Natick is a small, affluent town located in Middlesex County in northeastern Massachusetts. It forms part of the MetroWest region of Massachusetts and is considered part of the Greater Boston Area. Natick lies approximately 13.5 miles west of Boston and according to recent census estimates, has a population 31,975 residents. Because of its location just outside of Boston, Natick is a popular bedroom community for folks who work in Boston, but prefer the peace and tranquility only smaller towns can provide. Other nearby towns include Framingham and Wayland Because the Natick public school system is among the best in Massachusetts, Natick is ideal for families with school-aged children. Whereas the average per-pupil expenditure in the US is $6,058, Natick schools spend an average of $7,810 per-pupil. Aside from the great public schools in Natick, there are also four excellent private schools, the Brandon School, the Eliot Montessori School, Westgate Christian School and the Walnut Hill School. Natick also has a very low crime rate compared to the rest of the nation, which means that parents do not have to worry about letting their children play in the tree-lined streets or the various parks and playgrounds. There are several immaculate parks in Natick and more so in the immediate vicinity. These parks offer residents a variety of different sports and recreational opportunities. For folks who enjoy dining, dancing and a sizzling nightlife scene, nearby Boston offers a multitude of different entertainment options for a variety of tastes and lifestyles.
