If you’re looking in the MetroWest area, be sure to check out Westborough homes. Boston is just over 30 miles east of the town and is a very sought-after location. The Massachusetts Turnpike and I-495 both have entrances from the town. In both 2005 and 2007 it was named on Money Magazine’s “Top 100 Best Places to Live”. Once you’ve visited Westborough real estate, you’ll quickly agree that the town is a lovely place. No matter what you’re looking for, you’ll find it in Westborough. From homes originally built in the 1800s to new construction, houses in the town tend to be totally updated and meticulously cared for. Colonial architecture is the dominant style, both among the older homes and larger homes, built more recently. You can also find low-maintenance townhome living and plenty of new construction.
The public schools near Westborough homes are quite good. They turn in both excellent scores on state testing and provide students with a nurturing academic environment. Westborough High School provides a great college preparatory education, with a 99% graduation rate. Westborough High School students also have a higher average SAT score than other schools in Massachusetts.
For those who like to be outdoors, Westborough is a great location. The town has many beautiful parks with facilities for sports, including soccer fields, baseball and softball diamonds, and basketball and tennis courts. A system of trails runs through the town and are open for walking, jogging, biking, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. Geocaching and letterboxing are also popular activities. The trails also connect several historic sites in town, including Pine Grove and St. Luke’s Cemeteries, Gilmore Pond, and Cedar Swamp, among others.
Westborough has several shopping areas and a cute downtown area. Westmeadow Plaza has several restaurants, professional offices, a hair salon, nail salon, and other establishments. Westborough Shopping Center has several stores, including Home Goods, Staples, and a few restaurants.
